There are 2 tours organised for the Tuesday and Wednesday.

The bus departs from Gate 1 at 9.30am and returning at 3pm.
Please book at Event HQ when you arrive on site and a payment of $20 is required to secure your seat - payable at Event HQ.

Wine Tours

Discover some well known and some little known wineries which all have a common theme VERY GOOD WINE and they are in the Riverland.
Mick Kelly Tours will take you there.
No bookings taken. Pay the driver when boarding the bus via Gate 1.

Paddle Steamer 'Industry'

Experience a bygone era with a scenic cruise on the historic PS Industry!
Hear the unique sounds of the paddle wheels, the hiss of steam and see the wood fired boiler being stoked as you take in the sights of the Renmark Riverfront area, majestic river red gums and cliff areas upstream of the town area.
A delicious Devonshire Tea, with scones cooked in the wood fired oven, and topped with jam and cream are served for your enjoyment.

Cruises are available on Thursday 10th May, 11am and 1.30pm (Thu booked out); Friday 11th May, 11am and 1.30pm; Saturday 12th May, 1.00pm and 2.45pm.
Adults - $20, Concession (Pension or Seniors Card) $15, Child $10, Family $50 (2 Adults and up to 3 children)

Cobdogla Irrigation & Steam Museum

The Cobdogla Irrigation & Steam Museum will be open for a special operating day for the Ulysses Club on Wednesday May 9th from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Features at the Museum include:

  • The World’s ONLY working Humphrey Pump with charcoal fired gas producers. Currently non operational for repairs.
  •  A 2 foot gauge light railway operated with a 1906 vintage Bagnall Saddle Tank Steam Loco and/or Simplex Diesel Locomotives.
  •  A 1920 vintage Fowler Class B6 Stump Pulling Traction Crane Engine.
  •  A 1920 vintage Fowler Class Z7 Ploughing Engine.
  •  Vintage Blackstone & other Engines .
  •  Vintage tractors, machinery and engines.
  •  National Trust Displays including Dioramas depicting the development of the area from pre white settlement to the 1930’s.
  •  A major display of the history of the Loveday Internment Camp from World War 2

 Entry is $10 head, Light lunch, drinks and ice creams available for sale.

The Village, Loxton

The Village is a must see, unique village style museum situated on the Loxton riverfront.
The setting will bring back memories of an era past, capturing the development of a typical rural community with over 45 buildings and exhibits.
You will find fascinating displays and memorabilia, each telling a story of the life and struggles experienced by hard working pioneers who dared tame the “outback”.

Open Tuesday-Sunday - 11.00am to 3.00pm

Special entry for Ulysses members $10 (normally $14). Complimentary tea and coffee available.

Flavours of the Riverland

Flavours of the Riverland – Sturt Highway, Barmera.
Extended hours – open every day of the 2018 AGM 10am – 4pm.

Waikerie Gliding Club

Waikerie Gliding Club is situated approximately 3km east of Waikerie on the Sturt Highway at the Waikerie Airfield.

Joy flights (Air Experience Flights) are being made available to Ulysses Club members for the period of 8th – 11th May 2018.
The cost is $150 for approx. 20 minutes depending on weather. Extra time is charged at $1 per minute. A maximum weight of 110kg applies.
A maximum of 10 flights per day will be catered for and flying will commence from around 11:00am and continue till dusk, weather permitting.
Patrons are advised to wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen as well as bringing a camera and friends to share the occasion!
